Who might his unfortunate victim be? 8D Lawl. Yes, I do know that his stomach defies all physics in this picture; so sue me. It's a god damn chibi. I refuse to draw fat chibis. :<

Lawl. I know it's not the most amazing drawing in the world, but I wanted to show it off for one particular reason:

I COLORED IT ON THE COMPUTER. *dies*

I prefer traditional coloring still, by a long shot, but I'm rather impressed with how it turned out; I've been coloring digitally for a while, but it was mainly limited to pixel art and very simple tasks. Needless to say, this is definitely a step up from that.

Apologies for the lack of background yet again. I said I hate them, and nothing's changed. They're even nastier to do on a computer because you have to clean out all the white space ><

TIME: About four hours. It took a long time to clean it up.
MEDIA: Drawn in pencil and scanned, then colored in Photoshop 5.5.

HOLY CRAP YOU COLORED SOMETHING ON THE COMPUTER. Sweet.

About the background, though, you might try using a select by color (or shape, or something) tool and deleting the white if you painted on the background layer, then inserting another layer underneath. Or you could just start painting on the second (and therefore transparent, I hope?) layer.

I've done that before, but you usually have to go around the actual picture with the eraser even after using the magic outline tool or whatever it's called. And even if I did do a background, it'd just be like... a gradient. Because that's all I can do in the way of backgrounds. >>;

Again, sorry it took me so long to post a comment. I've been exceedingly lazy.

I can't believe you did that on the computer! Yes, your hand-done stuff is superior, particularly in terms of shading, but this is still damn good. I like the shade of purple you got for his hair, and the texturing on the red letters does look almost hand-colored.

Teehee, that's a cute chibi. He looks so very, very "meh."

I'm glad you did find the time to comment, even if it took forever xD~ Personally, I'm just surprised that I could DO it. It has its advantages sometimes, but I'd rather stick to using pencils. They suit me better.

And yes; his expression is pretty much the whole reason I even colored this. It was just too amusing not to. <3
